RT @lachlangoudie: Bravo @PaulJSweeney. So few voices keep the Glasgow School of Art crisis in the news or hold the authorities to account for their ambivalence in the face of, ‘the greatest disaster to hit Scotland’s built heritage in a century!’

RT @JournoStephen: Nicola Sturgeon says Scots will have the option of showing a negative lateral flow test rather than a vaccine passport to enter nightclubs. @ScottishLabour leader @AnasSarwar has argued for this from the start. The question is: why has it taken so long to offer this alternative?

Paul Sweeney (UKMPs) retweeted @ewangibbs :

RT @ewangibbs: We just got a notice from our factors, @NewGorbalsHA, who are planning on implementing a £32 per annum charge to run their own bulk uplift service. It’s definitely for the best now @GlasgowCC charge £35 per uplift, but it’s sad they have to make up for more council failures.

RT @PaulJSweeney: With the report into the @GSofA fire due to be published today, I am calling on @scotgov to get a grip of the situation and save Glasgow School of Art. It is a national treasure & it must be rebuilt. Anything less will be a national embarrassment. Listen 👇 https://t.co/Vhpt6dvlVV

RT @davcon73: Labour MPs giving a standing ovation as a WASPI women protest broke out in the public gallery, to the annoyance of the Deputy Speaker during #Budget2018 today. #WASPI #backto60 https://t.co/hZX1amcwTn

@StephenWatt_ Mainly due to the ferry. Also note John Golborne's groynes, built out into the river in the 1770s. It was the first major attempt to make open the river to navigation as far upstream as Glasgow. Thomas Telford later joined them all up with embankment walls in the early 1800s.
